1 Week with 1UP at Revolver Upstairs

Having previously supported Martha Coopers book “Hip Hop Files: Photographs 1979-1984” in 2004, this year Carhartt WIP returns to present "One Week with 1UP". "One Week with 1UP" is a unique photography and art project created by the legendary New York photographer Martha Cooper, the Berlin-based photographer Ninja K, and the world-famous Berlin graffiti crew 1UP (One United Power). The book explores a unique bond between the renowned documentary photographer – who, since the 1970s, has captured some of the most enduring images of the graffiti and hip-hop scenes – and one of world's largest, most fearless modern-day graffiti crews.

Label Feature: Butter Sessions

Carhartt WIP is pleased to present a mix by Melbourne’s Butter Sessions. Initially launched as a blog, it has since transformed into one of Australia’s most interesting labels for electronic music, supporting talented new local artists like Mos Howieson and Ewan Jansen, as well as friends from overseas such as DJ Fett Burger, Jayda G and Villa Åbo.

Sotto Torchio

CARHARTT WIP is pleased to present its latest skate project, SOTTO TORCHIO, created in partnership with UK skateboarding magazine GREY, and its European online peer A BRIEF GLANCE. Taking inspiration from the editor of A Brief Glance’s passion for wine, a typical skate tour was combined with a wine-tasting tour around four regions in Northern Italy. With each region, came new terrain to skate and a different winery to check out.

Mzansi

Vast yet dense, Johannesburg sprawls further and wider than any other city in South Africa, but also packs more people in than any other. Earlier this summer, French photographer Sylvain Ali journeyed to the region, exploring its various pockets and enclaves, snapping as he went. Seen here is the result of his trip – entitled ‘Mzansi’, the word for ‘South Africa’ in the Xhosa dialect, largely spoken in Eastern Cape – with locals, young and old, captured in garments from the Carhartt WIP Spring/Summer 18 collection.

Marseille

A while ago Tao Ström and Carhartt WIP rider David Stenström started to plan a little trip to escape the cold days in Copenhagen. After talking about Marseille and the sports the city has to offer it was clear where to go. The crew got bigger and Carhartt WIP riders Shin Sanbongi, Roman Gonzalez.
